As we continue on through this season of dance in Woodstock at Footprints we are excited to introduce the lady behind the desk! Miss Stacy is so excited to be working as our receptionist this year. As an experienced Dance Mom, Miss Stacy understands the needs and desires of our Footprints Family from the heart.
Check out Miss Lainy’s Q&A with Miss Stacy below to learn a bit more about her passion for dance!
Q) Why did you put your daughters into dance?
I put my daughter into dance because they had way too much energy and would not stop dancing around the house. My girls were watching dance videos on TV and loved dancing along. Truthfully when my oldest daughter was 2.5 years old; she started dancing with Miss Lainy. Miss Lainy was her very first dance teacher ever…and the rest is history!
Q) What do you feel is the biggest lesson you learned from being a dance mom?
The biggest lesson that I had to learn about being a dance mom is learning to be more patient with my girls! As they are running between classes, learning all these dances and getting read to perform. It’s important to remember that there is THEIR moment to shine.
Q) What do you feel is the biggest lesson your daughters have learned from dance?
The biggest lesson they have learned is how to overcome their fears and enjoy performing on stage. Being apart of the exam program they have also had to learn how to take critiques and apply their corrections. Now, they have also had to start to learn how to share their mom with other children that are not siblings while at the studio!
Q) What is your favourite part of being at the studio?
My most favourite part of being at the studio is the teachers and other dance parents and children! They all make everyone feel comfortable to be at the studio and make others feel like there are no judgments.
Q) Why did you choose Footprints Dance Centre?
I choose Footprints Dance Centre for my children to dance because as we walking through the doors it felt like home. All the smiling, bright & friendly faces from the teachers, parents and students just reminded me of family.
Q) What is something unusual or special about you?
I have been working with children since I have been old enough to be a child care provider. I enjoy being around children. Children can bring so much joy and excitement into a room. They truly are the most wonderful gift.
Q) What are you most looking forward to this year?
I am so excited to see how the growth of the studio allows us to flourish into the new season. From more fun events to bigger and more exciting classes. It is sure to be a great year!
