Junior (Ages 9-10)
Our Junior program offers dancers aged 9-10 to start expanding on the fundamentals of their chosen style. Dancers are encouraged to explore dance in an atmosphere of positive self-discovery. Junior dancers will be challenged with terminology, clever patternings and cute choreography. By the end of the year our Junior dancers will blow you away with their energetic dancing and dazzling smiles!

Level 1 – Thursday 7:30-8:15
Level 2 – Wednesday 6:30-7:15
Dancers will learn how to dance in a positive atmosphere of self-discovery. Students are introduced to the basic concepts of ballet including musicality, rhythm and coordinated movement through the use of props, storybooks and music. Dancers at the junior level are also eligible to be a part of our ballet exam program.

Jazz is a dance form with limitless appeal due to its energy, variety and vitality. Fast and upbeat, this dance genre incorporates large jumps and turns to form an energetic style all its own. Jazz provides students an opportunity to develop their control, strength and flexibility in an upbeat manner. If your dancer is seeking exams for this discipline please see our exam page.

Tap has charmed the hearts of many over its long history. Through intricate foot movements, tappers create exciting, percussive rhythm patterns to engage the audience. Coordination, timing and rhythm are the basic fundamentals of tap dance. Parents – ear plugs are optional for the first few weeks! Dancers at this level are welcome to explore our tap exam program.

Level 2: Saturday 11:30-12:15pm
This class is suitable for dancers aged 9-10 who have lots of energy and want to have a ton of fun! This urban style combines both dance and music into a fast-paced and energetic class. Hip-Hop utilizes elements of break-dancing, popping, locking, house, krump and many other urban genres. Dancers will develop coordination, style and self-confidence in this exciting and cool dance class.

This class offers a unique and high-energy approach to the wonderful combination of jazz and gymnastics we call acro. Students will be introduced to basic gymnastics technique in order to develop their flexibility, strength and balance. Exploring both dance and acrobatic tricks keeps students engaged, excited and eager for every class.

Lyrical dance provides our dancers age 9-10 the ability to learn dance through the art of story telling. Lyrical dance combines elements of ballet and jazz to create a breath taking genre of its own.

Musical Theatre is a dance form with limitless appeal due to its energy, variety and vitality. Fast and upbeat, this dance genre incorporates large jumps and turns to form an energetic style all its own. Musical Theatre provides that triple threat training to our aspiring Broadway Dancers!
FAQ
Yes! All of our Junior dancers have a required dress code that must be followed. We are happy to offer all dress code items in the studio for easy access and affordability.
The enrollment cap for our Junior classes is 8-14 dancers per class. Keeping a small class size allows each student to have the individual time with the instructor in order to grow.
Yes! As educated dance teachers we understand the importance of structuring classes with age appropriate music, movements and of course, peer-aged friends! We are happy to offer beginner and experienced levels in the Junior dance program.
