Welcome back to Footprints Dance Centre! We are so excited to be back at it, conquering our goals this January.
We hope that throughout the rest of the year you can continue to trust Footprints Dance Centre to be a warm and safe place to inspire creativity, positive work ethic and self-expression for your dancer. Each individual, whether student, family member or friend, is an important foundational member that will help to influence the structure of the studio for many years to come.
Every year we buy group tickets to a nearby dance performance for our Footprints Family. One year was off to Hamilton to see Cirque du Soleil. Last year we saw Travis Wall’s dance company Shaping Sound at the Centre in the Square Theatre in Kitchener. This year we will be going to see the National Ballet of Canada perform Sleeping Beauty in Toronto on Thursday March 15 at 7:30pm. Tickets are available for purchase for $65.00 from the studio. We have a limited quantity available so if you are interested in attending – let us know ASAP!
Did you miss out on our “I dance because” photo contest over the break? Well don’t worry! We have extended the contest to run until January 20. The winner of the raffle draw will win two tickets to our Footprints Field Trip Performance! To be entered dancers need to write the phrase “I dance because” on a piece of paper, give us their reason and snap a picture! Send your photos to the studio e-mail to be entered into this amazing raffle and posted on the studio social media pages!
The coldest winter months are here and so is flu season! Please be sure to communicate any absences to the studio via phone, e-mail or social media. Students are also now allowed to wear a form-fitting black, purple or blue activity jacket over their dress code items for the beginning of class due to our old drafty building.
Students have been measured and costumes have been ordered! Please ensure that all costume fees and accounts are up to date. Check out our Costume Look Book for a sneak peek at your child’s costume for recital!
That’s all for January! Once February is here we will begin work on our Recital Routines for our SIXTH (can you believe it?!) Annual Recital!!!!!

Share the joy of dancing with someone you care about on Bring-a-Friend Day. We encourage students to bring up to two friends of similar age to class. No previous dance experience required.
January 20: I Dance Because Photo Contest Ends!

January 28: Registrations End & Recital Routines Begin!
