March is always an exciting month at the dance studio! Recital routine choreography begins to start wrapping up with classes joining the “Done Club.” Our Competition Team heads off to the first of their competitions and our Exam Programs start to ramp up as the countdown begins to exam day! There is certainly lots to keep us busy this month!
We are also excited to announce the theme of our eighth official recital this month. We will be giving out clues and hints on our social media and inside the studio throughout the month of March. We can’t wait to see if anyone figures it out this year!
Now let’s all cross our fingers and hope that March truly does go out like a lamb this year!
Monthly Intention: Confidence
Each month of our dancing year will highlight one of those ‘life lessons’ that dance gives us. This month’s intention is Confidence. Confidence as a dancer is everything on stage and that holds true in life too. At Footprints one of our primary values is to instill our dancers with a sense of confidence. We want our dancers to be able to feel inspired and bold sharing their ideas. Throughout the month of March our dancers will be exploring confidence through sharing their progress with other classes, classroom discussions and our Wingman4Dance activities!
Summer Camp
Our Footprints Fam VIP Summer Camp Registration is closing on March 14, 2020. All current Footprints Fam members will receive 15% off any full week camp if registered before March 14. To receive your 15% discount you will need to register at the desk with Miss Stacy.
Dance-A-Thon Sleepover
Dancers (ages 7+) are invited to collect pledges from family and friends in support of United Way Oxford. With a minimum donation of $25.00 dancers will then participate in our ALL-NIGHT-DANCE-A-THON at the studio on March 14-15. All pledges collected will go directly to United Way Oxford to help support and shape our community.
Recital 2020 Update
COSTUMES: Students have been measured and costumes have been ordered! Please ensure that all costume fees and accounts are up to date. Check out our Costume Look Book for a sneak peek at your child’s costume for recital! Students will be trying on costumes as they arrive throughout the next few months. Check your weekly e-blasts to be notified of what classes are trying on costumes each week.
RECITAL DATE: This year our 8th Annual Recital will be held on Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13 at the Calvary Church in Woodstock. Our Mini. Junior, Inter and Senior dancers will dance on Friday June 12 and our Teacup and Tulip dancers will have their shows on Saturday June 13. Further scheduling will be released in the spring!
