It may be summer vacation but our Summer Sass Squad Performance Team has been incredibly busy preparing for their upcoming performances throughout Oxford County! Our little Woodstock dance studio is always so proud of the way our amazing dancers come together to create our Summer Sass Squad. Earlier we revealed our Summer Sass Squad’s theme and now it’s time to show off those routines!
Our Summer Sass Squad came together mid-May and has been working steadily along in the dance studio to get ready for their dance performances. From learning new choreography, perfecting their spacing and getting those beautiful dance costumes to fit just right – our Summer Sass Squad is now ready to get their sparkle on! So without further ado, let us introduce this year’s Summer Sass Squad line-up for 2018!
Tulip Team (Ages 5-6)
Our Tulip dancers are relatively new to the idea of our Summer Sass Squad but were super excited and ready for the challenge nevertheless! These 5-6 year old dancers had wide eyes when Miss Lainy pulled their lightsabers out of her bag for their first class. Yes, these little dancers will be performing a Star Wars themed routine to The Piano Guy’s Cello Wars. Our 5-6 year old dancers are excited to show you their Jedi moves in this fun and exciting ballet piece!

Junior Team (Ages 7-10)
Our Summer Sass Squad was a popular choice for our 7-10 year old dancers this summer. These dancers will be performing a jazz number for the Wizard of Oz to Glee’s Ding Dong the Witch is Dead! and a hip-hop mix representing the ever popular Wonder Woman. These 7-10 year old dancers are excited to show you their well-timed follow ups and awesome sass!

These dancing munchkins are ready to dance up a storm!
Intermediate Team (Ages 11-14)
Our 11-14 year old dancers will be kicking off our performance each week with their brilliant “Let’s Go to the Movies” musical theatre mix. Then these dancers will be showing off their wicked pirouettes and brilliant jetes to a fun mix of A Little Party Never Killed Nobody from The Great Gatsby.
The sparkle and feather dresses are just screaming Gatsby!
Everybody wants to be on screen (or on stage!)
Senior Team
These seasoned performers are excited to roll-out with their awesome Transformers themed hip-hop routine together. Then each dancer will perform a solo. One solo takes inspiration from the page-to-screen hit, The Fault in Our Stars and the other is inspired from the early 2000s, Moulin Rouge.
Loss and love are common themes in this lyrical piece from The Fault in our Stars.
