As always, this year’s annual Teacup and Tulip Birthday Party was an absolute BLAST! Leading the fun and excitement of our youngest dancers’ classes are our two adorable imaginary best friends – Teacup the bunny and Tulip the turtle!

Teacup the Bunny is our dancing mascot for our 3-4 year old’s dance classes while Tulip the turtle is the mascot for our 5-6 year old’s dance classes. Each year, in support of the Oxford County Animal Rescue Shelter, we gather our excited little dancers and host a big birthday bash for our awesome imaginary friends! In lieu of presents, Teacup and Tulip always request for their birthday party attendees to bring donation items for our local animal shelter instead (kitty litter, dog food, dog/cat treats and toys, etc). This annual event is our own fun little way of giving back to our community and helping animals in need – but it also gives us a fun excuse to throw a party! Throughout the year, FDC loves to create fun opportunities for our different age groups of dancers to feel special and have opportunities to bond with kiddos who might be outside of their regular circle of dance friends.

Our staff had a blast decorating our space with a zillion tea party themed birthday decorations and we hosted over 50 little party attendees between the ages of 3-6! Our kiddos had so much fun participating in a fun and silly dance class, creating bunny and turtle crafts, and playing games! And of course, what birthday would be complete without loot bags?!

When the party was done, our dancers were so proud of their contribution to such a wonderful cause. We know this is a yearly tradition that will continue on for a long time to come! Thank you for all of your donations and support, dancers!
