Welcome back to Footprints Dance Centre!
This is the first January since 2020 that we are back and in-person dancing inside the studio building. We are so incredibly grateful to all of the families that opened up their living rooms, basements, kitchens, etc the past two Januarys so that we could continue to inspire and connect with our students during the pandemic. We are so thankful to be back inside the studio and dancing this January!
We are looking forward to kicking off 2023 with all of our dancers and families!
Monthly Intention: Bright
Each month of our dancing year will highlight one of those ‘life lessons’ that dance gives us through our monthly intentions. This month we are working on incorporating a little bit of brightness into our dance studio. Throughout the month of January you will see us brightening up the studio space, encouraging our students to look on the bright side and of course a fun and funky bright-themed dress up week!
Mini/Junior Glow Party
Dancers ages 7-10 are invited to FDC’s Glow Party on Saturday January 28 from 3:00-5:30pm. Dancers will have a dance class, play games, do a craft and have a glow-in-the-dark dance party of course! Admission is $10.00/student. Register at the desk or via email today!
Recital 2023
COSTUMES: Students have been measured and costumes have been ordered! Please ensure that all costume fees and accounts are up to date. Check out our Costume Look Book mid-month for a sneak peek at your child’s costume for recital! Students will be trying on costumes as they arrive throughout the next few months.
REGISTRATION: Registration for our 2023 Recital will be closed at the end of the month. If you have any friends who you think may want to join, please encourage them to register before the end of the month! Once February is here we will begin work on our Recital Routines for our ELEVENTH (can you believe it?!) Annual Recital!!!!!
RECITAL & REHEARSAL DATES: This year our 11th Annual Recitals and Rehearsals will take place throughout the week of June 6-10 at the Movement Church in Woodstock. We are planning to have 3-4 shows and will release more information when we get closer to but for now, book that week clear!
Absences:
You can always let us know about an absence via email but you can also report absences through the parent portal. This is beneficial as it will appear in all of their teacher’s attendance tracker for that day.
How To:
Login to your parent portal – https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/footprints
Click the Attendance button – Click Report Absence – Select the Students that will be Absent – Click Next -Select the dates the students will be away – Type in your reason for absence – Click Submit Absences
