HAPPY 2023! It’s new year’s resolution time! Every new year is a great opportunity to reflect on the highlights and prideful moments of the year that draws to a close, while setting inspiring goals to make the next year even better! What are your new year’s resolutions?!
At Footprints Dance Centre, our new year’s resolution for the year 2023 was to find 23 new and exciting ways to surprise and delight our students and families (aka. 23 “Fun and Fancies”)!
Since our plans to surprise and delight were truly inspired by our dancers… we wanted to hear their input too!
Every month, Wingman week allows out dancers to connect with one another, speak up, and project positivity. This month, we wanted to hear their ideas on what they wanted to see or do around the studio to level up their dance experience. Ideas ranged from fun and silly themes for dress-up days, fun new things to add to our lobby, and even a day where the teachers took every dancer to Disneyland!!! Wouldn’t that be fun?!
Now, as much as we wanted to make EVERY wish come true, we did select quite a few student ideas to add to our list and bring those ideas to life! We won’t give them all away just yet – but be prepared to be surprised and delighted!
We LOVE our Footprints family and are forever grateful for their endless support. We wanted to show our appreciation by keeping our students and families on their toes (pun intended) with little surprises that will hopefully bring a smile to their faces and a little extra joy to their days.
We plan to keep these little surprises coming from now until the end of our dance season. If you’ve been into the studio in at the end of January, I’m sure you will have noticed our giant pink balloon wall installation that greets you at the door! We hope you had the chance to stop and admire the bright and happy display and maybe pause for a photo op too! Our giant balloon wall was the first of many plans to make our students and families feel loved, and hopefully make their days a little bit brighter!
