As the winter season continues, of course, cold and flu season with it – please be sure to notify the studio of any absences your dancer may have through your parent portal.
February Fees Due
Monthly fees will be due on February 1st. The studio will be closed for the holidays until January 5th, but payments are still available through your Parent Portal and by e-transfer to info@footprintsdancecentre.com (please remember to write your dancer’s name in the notes of the EMT and set the password to dance1). Please note that if you are currently set up for auto-pay, your payment will be processed on January 5th. Thank you for keeping your account up to date.
Competitive Team Showcase Tickets On Sale
Our Competitive Team has been working SO HARD on all their amazing routines! They will be hitting the competition circuit soon, but first, they will bring them to the Movement Church stage on Saturday, February 21st! Buy your ticket now to come cheer them on!
Tickets will be available for purchase at the front desk as of Tuesday, February 3rd.
Love and Support for ChildCan Week (aka. Love/PJ Week)
This year, we have decided to combine our usual Valentine’s Day “Love Week” with a special cause. ChildCan is an organization that spreads awareness and raises funds for children fighting cancer. ChildCan’s PJ Day initiative helps to spread awareness and support for children battling cancer who wear pajamas every day.
From February 9-14, dancers will be invited to dress up in red/white/pink AND/OR pajamas. We will also have a collection jar at the front desk for any families who feel inclined to donate to ChildCan.
FDC has a few students who have fought or are currently fighting cancer, so this cause feels close to our hearts. Teacup & Tulip’s Birthday Party
Dancers in our Teacup and Tulip programs are invited to celebrate Teacup and Tulip’s Birthdays on Saturday February 28 from 1:30-3:30PM. This event is put on to support Oxford County Animal Rescue. Please RSVP to the desk to let us know your dancer will be coming as spots are limited.
Dress Code
Please ensure that students are appropriately dressed for their classes with hair tied neatly off the face for all classes.
Please label all of your dancer’s belongings so that we can minimize the mix-ups! If you have any questions about the dress code please just ask. Thank you to all of the dancers who have been following our dress code so far!
How To Report Absences
You can always let us know about an absence via email but you can also report absences through the parent portal. This is beneficial as it will appear in all of their teacher’s attendance tracker for that day.

Click the Attendance button – Click Report Absence – Select the Students that will be Absent – Click Next -Select the dates the students will be away – Type in your reason for absence – Click Submit Absences
Recital 2026:
This season our 14th Annual Recital will be held at The Movement Church in Woodstock. Rehearsals and Recitals will take place the week of June 1-6. All details pertaining to recital (ticket sales, dress rehearsals, schedules and more) will be released in our Recital Information Packages in March.
