Happy New Year!!!! I can’t believe another year has come and gone! We hope you had a wonderful, restful, and magical holiday break. The staff at FDC are rested and refreshed and will be setting our goals high this year to plan for another awesome year of fun and dancing ahead!
As the winter season continues, of course, cold and flu season with it – please be sure to notify the studio of any absences your dancer may have through your parent portal.
January Fees Due
Monthly fees will be due on January 1st. The studio will be closed for the holidays until January 5th, but payments are still available through your Parent Portal and by e-transfer to info@footprintsdancecentre.com (please remember to write your dancer’s name in the notes of the EMT and set the password to dance1). Please note that if you are currently set up for auto-pay, your payment will be processed on January 5th. Thank you for keeping your account up to date.
Holiday Ornament
Dancers received their 2025-26 annual Festive FDC Holiday ornament during the last week of classes before the holiday break. If your dancer didn’t receive their ornament before the break, be sure to pop by the front desk during the first week back to grab yours.
Glitter and Groove Dress-Up Week
From January 12-17, dancers are invited to ditch their dress code in favor of anything glittery and/or groovy. This week we welcome all the sequins, old dance costumes, sparkly New Year’s dresses and glitter, oh my! Anything goes, just make sure you can still dance in it!
Inter/Senior Movie Day
On Saturday, January 24th from 2:00-4:00pm, any and all Intermediate and Senior FDC dancers are welcome to join us for a movie night! Admission is free. Bring your snacks and comfy clothes! We will be streaming Netflix’s dance movie, Feel the Beat.
Dress Code
Please ensure that students are appropriately dressed for their classes with hair tied neatly off the face for all classes.
Please label all of your dancer’s belongings so that we can minimize the mix-ups! If you have any questions about the dress code please just ask. Thank you to all of the dancers who have been following our dress code so far!
How To Report Absences
You can always let us know about an absence via email but you can also report absences through the parent portal. This is beneficial as it will appear in all of their teacher’s attendance tracker for that day.

Recital 2026:
This season our 14th Annual Recital will be held at The Movement Church in Woodstock. Rehearsals and Recitals will take place the week of June 1-6. All details pertaining to recital (ticket sales, dress rehearsals, schedules and more) will be released in our Recital Information Packages in March.
