April is an exciting time at the studio! Our recital students are finishing up their recital choreography, our exam dancers are putting the finishing touches on their syllabus work and our competitive dancers are hitting the stage. As we move through this busy time at the studio we are so thankful to be sharing the experience with our incredible Footprints Family.
As we get closer to showtime, it is so important for our dancers to be in class. Please continue to alert us through your parent portal of any absences.
We can’t wait to get these dancers on the stage soon!
Easter Long Weekend:
Footprints Dance Centre will be CLOSED on Friday, April 3rd for Good Friday, classes will resume as normal on Saturday and Monday of Easter weekend.
Summer Camp Registration:
Camp registration is now available in your parent portal. Click Register for Class then open up the Summer Camp tab. Your registration payment is just a 10% deposit! The remainder of your fee will be due July 1, 2026.
Program Love Notes Due:
Program love notes are an optional addition to your dancer’s recital experience and make a great keepsake for years to come! For $10.00, you can write a personalized note cheering on your dancer or wishing them luck for their big stage debut. All notes will be included in the program that is given out when audience members enter the auditorium for the recital performance in June. Program love notes are due to the front desk no later than April 1st.
Competition Info Meeting:
If your dancer is interested in exploring the thrilling world of Competitive Dance we invite you to attend a short information meeting on Saturday May 2nd at 3:30pm at the studio. In this meeting we will discuss the financial and time requirements for the Competitive Team.
Recital 2026:
This season our 14th Annual Recital will be held at The Movement Church in Woodstock. Rehearsals and Recitals will take place the week of June 1-6.
DATES & SCHEDULES: Recital & Rehearsal Date: June 1-6 at the Movement Church. All info can be found in your colour-coded Recital Information Packages. Information Packages were handed out during Parent Sneak Peek Week. If you missed yours, copies are available at the front desk and in your weekly email blast.
COSTUMES: Our dancers will be refitted for their recital costumes throughout the month. Any dancers requiring adjustments like strap adjustments or hems will be marked during this month.
MUSIC: You can now access your child’s recital music through your parent portal. Login to your parent portal – Click “Shared Files” – Click on the “Class Music” Tab. Voila! There it is! PRACTICE VIDEOS will be coming soon!
