Welcome back to Footprints Dance Centre!
As we kick off the New Year, we are super pumped to be back in the studio setting new goals, and helping our dancers with their own dreams. The winter term at the studio is always full of so much excitement as the kick off to recital starts to begin with costumes revealed, music choices being shared and choreography beginning. We can’t wait to get started!
We are looking forward to kicking off 2025 with all of our dancers and families!
Monthly Intention: MAGIC!
Each month of our dancing year will highlight one of those ‘life lessons’ that dance gives us through our monthly intentions. This month we are working on incorporating a little bit of magic into our dance studio. Throughout the month of January you will see us sprucing up the studio space, encouraging our students to look on the magical side and of course a fun and funky sparkle dress up week too!
Inter/Senior Movie Day:
Dancers ages 11-18 are invited to FDC’s Movie Party on Saturday January 25 from noon-2:00pm for a viewing of The Greatest Showman. Dancers can come in their comfy clothes and bring some snacks!
Recital 2025:
COSTUMES: Students have been measured and costumes have been ordered! Please ensure that all costume fees and accounts are up to date. Check out our Costume Look Book mid-month for a sneak peek at your child’s costume for recital! Students will be trying on costumes as they arrive throughout the next few months.
REGISTRATION: Registration for our 2025 Recital will be closed at the end of the month. If you have any friends who you think may want to join, please encourage them to register before the end of the month! Once February is here we will begin work on our Recital Routines for our 13th (can you believe it?!) Annual Recital!!!!!
RECITAL & REHEARSAL DATES: This year our 13th Annual Recitals and Rehearsals will take place throughout the week of June 2-7 at the Movement Church in Woodstock. We are planning to have 4-5 individual shows and will release more information when we get closer to but for now, book that week clear!
Absences:
You can always let us know about an absence via email but you can also report absences through the parent portal. This is beneficial as it will appear in all of their teacher’s attendance tracker for that day.
How To:
Login to your parent portal – https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/footprints
Click the Attendance button – Click Report Absence – Select the Students that will be Absent – Click Next -Select the dates the students will be away – Type in your reason for absence – Click Submit Absences
