It’s always a special February at Footprints because we get to start working on recital dances but this February is EXTRA special as we are back dancing in-person in the studio! We can’t wait to get started on our recital dances this month. And we will start dropping our recital theme clues throughout the month too!
SEASONAL UPDATES:
As the winter weather continues to roll through Woodstock please be sure to fully utilize the shoe racks provided. Keeping the stairway clear is important to our dancers’ and families’ safety.
Please continue to keep the studio informed with any absences your child may have as we continue to battle the ongoing pandemic together. You can submit any known absences through your parent portal.
Please be aware that Proof of Vaccination is required for all people over the age of 12 entering the studio building. The Provincial QR Codes are the only valid proof of vaccination that we can accept.
MONTHLY INTENTION:
Each month of our dancing year will highlight one of those ‘life lessons’ that dance gives us. This month’s intention is Kindness. We are super excited to be putting on our annual Share the Love Social Media Contest. You can check out our Kindness Posters all through Woodstock this month too! Throughout the month of February we will be putting together some extra events and ideas for our dance family to express Kindness.
TEACUP & TULIP BIRTHDAY PARTY:
Dancers in our Teacup and Tulip programs are invited to celebrate Teacup and Tulip’s Birthdays on Saturday February 19. There are two time slot options for the party: 3:30-5:00 or 5:30-7:00pm. This event is put on to support Oxford County Animal Rescue. Please RSVP to the desk to let us know what time slot works best for you!
RECITAL 2022 UPDATE:
COSTUMES: Check out our Virtual Costume Look Book (in your email) for a sneak peek at your child’s costume for recital! Students will be trying on costumes as they arrive throughout the next few months. Check your weekly e-blasts to be notified of what classes are trying on costumes that week.
RECITAL DATE: This year our 10th Annual Recital will be held throughout the week of June 6-11 at the Movement Church in Woodstock. As we get closer to our recital date we will be able to provide a clearer picture of what health and safety procedures will be required for our show. Please be patient with us as we navigate the ongoing pandemic together.
