And just like that, the dance season is here! With the welcoming of our Seventh Season we wanted to bring something special into our dance studio to help bring the studio together into a common goal. Thus our monthly intentions were born! This month’s intention is TOGETHERNESS.
Our monthly intentions are a way to shine a spotlight on the life lessons that dance provides. From creating special bonds between dancers and families, to gratefulness and a growth mindset – it’s our aim to highlight these life lessons to our dancers and dance families. After all, dance is not just about learning how to move your feet, but how to let your heart lead!
So for the month of September our monthly intention is TOGETHERNESS.
What is TOGETHERNESS?
At Footprints Dance Centre we pride ourselves on maintaining our “small studio community feel” with our ever-growing dance family. With over 200 students enrolled (and still growing!) it is incredibly important to us that we maintain our strongly knit Footprints Family. And that is why we decided that TOGETHERNESS should be our first monthly intention to start off our seventh season here in Woodstock!
Togetherness at FDC means an acceptance of all dancers. Regardless of how long you have attended FDC, what level of dancer you are or how many classes you take. Each member of our Footprints Family is important to us. We hope to provide opportunities for all of our dancers to grow and leave their own footprints in our studio. By providing opportunities for our dance families to bond we hope to foster the community necessary to continue the legacy of the Footprints Family.
What’s the TOGETHERNESS Plan?
Over the course of the month we will host a series of activitiesnand events for all of our dancers inside and out of the studio. Some activities include team bonding exercises done in class, our 7th Annual Open House, our studio spirit week and a continued emphasis placed on togetherness and acceptance throughout the studio. Our staff even kicked off our month of TOGETHERNESS with an awesome staff meeting and pizza party!
