The dance studio was hopping thanks to our super cute baby sharks last week! We were so happy to see our dancers back in the studio for summer camp after months off due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. It was clear to us that the kids were excited to be back too!
Our Sharktacular dancers had a blast creating their very own costumes for their end of week performance. Throughout the week our baby sharks crafted their very own shell necklace, mermaid tail and shark fin headband (and lots of other crafts too!).
Throughout the week our campers learned three dance routines to perform as part of their end-of-week outdoor show! The first routine was a hip-hop dance to Car Wash from Shark Tale, then a tap dance to Club New Wave’s Electric Avenue and finally a ballet dance to The O’Neil Brothers Group’s Under the Sea. The campers worked so hard to learn the choreography and make it stage ready all within the same week!
Our summer campers also had lots of opportunity to have some free outdoor play time with one another too. After such a crazy year of isolation, we thought it important to give the kids some time to be kids too!
