The quick and easy food solutions in Woodstock are just not the healthiest options around. Instead of stopping at Tim Horten’s during your afternoon crash try out our Protein Ball Tidd-Bits instead! This recipe is super simple and a great way to get an extra punch of protein into your day. A great afternoon pick me up or an easy to put in your purse car snack for later in the day.

If you know anything about Miss Lainy you know that she LOVES her peanut butter. Peanut butter in sandwiches, peanut butter with chocolate, just a big spoonful of peanut butter. However, if nut allergies are an issue in your child’s classroom simply switch out the Peanut Butter for a peanut butter substitute. There are plenty out there that are just as delicious as the natural peanut butter.

Directions:
Now it really is as simple as it seems. Trust us. You can’t mess it up! Even the kids can help!

Step 1) Put all the ingredients in a bowl.
That’s right. Just dump it all in there. Don’t stress about mixing it up or doing anything fancy. Just get the good stuff in the bowl!

All of the ingredients are in the orange bowl

Step 2) Mix it up.
Go ahead and get the wooden spoon out. The mixture will be a bit tough at first to get smoothed out.

Step 3) Add a little bit of milk as you mix and get your hands dirty!
No time to take photos during this step unless you want your phone to be covered in goop. Just get mixing it up with your hands. The kiddos will LOVE this part.

Combine Ingredients

It might get a little sticky, but don’t worry – that’s part of the fun!

Step 4) Roll the batter into Timbit sized balls.
Keep your balls bite size. These little tidd-bits are certainly filling and delicious. You won’t want to eat just one so keep the serving size small.

Step 5) Stick Your Plate in the Freezer for 2 hours
Let the balls chill out in the freezer for approximately two hours. Once they are done setting you can take them out and store in a closed container in the fridge.

Miss Lainy’s Hot Tip:

Switch out vanilla protein powder for chocolate and the peanut butter for hazelnut butter, then drizzle with dark chocolate.
