What an amazing start to the year! We have simply been having a blast with all of this season’s classes. The commitment and hard work of every single student is already starting to pay off.

We are so grateful to our entire Footprints Family for supporting the studio during this crazy time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing to make our dance studio a healthy and safe place for our dancers. Please keep up the awesome mask-wearing and hand sanitizing as we head into some cooler months.

Monthly Intention: Spooky & Silly

Each month of our dancing year will highlight one of those ‘life lessons’ that dance gives us through our monthly intentions. This month we are working on incorporating a little bit of whimsy into our dance studio. With Halloween right around the corner there will certainly be some silly and spooky fun for all of our dancers to partake in!

Halloween Bash – Covid-Style!

Our fourth annual Halloween Bash in support of the Epilepsy Support Centre is right around the corner! Dancers and friends (ages 3-12) are invited to the studio for a night of spooky and silly fun on Saturday October 31.

As this year’s Halloween looks a little different we will be running two of our studio rooms with 7-10 students organized by age. Partiers will be provided with a dance class and a Halloween craft. Please pack a nut-free snack for your dancer for a little break time.

Admission is $10/child. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Epilepsy Support Centre. Please RSVP via email or at the desk.

Costume Fees

As our 2020-21 Dance Season is not a ‘normal’ year, we want to provide our dance family with some options regarding costumes this season. We simply cannot guarantee that our 2021 Spring Recital will take place in a traditional format. We also recognize that many families may not want the additional expense of a costume for this year’s unusual recital. Therefore we kindly ask that you submit your intention for this season by October 24 on the forms handed out in class.

Dress Code

As we enter our second month of classes we will be keeping a stricter eye on our dress code. Please ensure that students are appropriately dressed for their classes with hair tied neatly off the face for all classes.

Please label all of your dancer’s belongings so that we can minimize the mix-ups! If you have any questions about the dress code please just ask.

Thank you to all of the dancers who have been following our dress code so far!
