It’s hard to believe that November is already upon us! Thank you for your continuous support this season. The studio is truly nothing without the hard work and dedication of each and every student, family member and staff member.
Cold & Flu Reminder:
As the winter season approaches and of course, cold and flu season with it – please be sure to log your absences in your parent portal. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing to make our dance studio a healthy and safe place for our dancers. Please keep up the awesome mask-wearing and hand sanitizing as we head into some colder months.
Halloween Bash & Epilepsy Support Centre:
A HUGE THANK YOU to all of the dancers who contributed to our Halloween Bash in support of the Epilepsy Support Centre. I am always blown away by the amount our studio wants to give back to their community!
Monthly Intention- Kindness:
Each month of our dancing year will highlight one of those ‘life lessons’ that dance gives us. This month we are working on incorporating more kindness into our dance studio. With 2020 being the roller coaster that it has been, we want to highlight the importance of kindness and understanding to our dancers this month. Our main event this month will be our Parent Appreciation Week. Stay tuned for more details!
Health and Safety Reminders:
Masks: Dancers over the age of 2 and parents/guardians are asked to wear a mask while entering and exiting the building and in all common areas. Children under 2 are not required to wear a mask but may do so at parent’s discretion. No dancer is required to wear a mask while actively dancing. If your child or family is mask exempt please let us know in advance.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Arrival and pick up will be done by drop-off only for ages 7+. Dancers under the age of 6 may be accompanied by one parent/guardian.
Prop Bags: All dancers received a prop bag during their first class. Please be sure to bring your prop bag to every class moving forward. Lost or broken items can be replaced for a minimal fee.
And don’t forget to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer!
The Holiday Season at FDC:
The holiday season at FDC is full of different traditions! This year we will be paring back some of our traditions due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
We will be continuing our donation collection for our Fill the Sleigh campaign for Domestic Abuse Services Oxford once again. Dancers are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and new toiletries to help us fill the sleigh. All of these items will be put directly back into the community that helps to support and shape us all. More information about this campaign will be released with your December newsletter.
