Summer is officially here! But that doesn’t mean that we are on vacation just yet! This Woodstock dance studio is staying busy and focused this summer break. For us, July is a month of preparation for our upcoming dance season as well as summer camp time. There is still lots going on at this Woodstock dance studio!
Our Summer Sass Performance Dance Team has been getting busy finishing up their routines and getting ready to perform at the end of the month. This year our Summer Sass Performance Dance Team is themed around all things movies! From classics like Star Wars and The Wizard of Oz to movie musicals like Moulin Rouge and newer movies like The Fault in Our Stars, our dancers really cover the scope of movie genres.
Continuing in the summer theme, our Summer Sessions begin July 12. We are super excited to be running this six-week dance program for ages 3-18. Our Teacups (Ages 3-4) have the option of ballet or hip-hop and our Tulips (Ages 5-6) will be dancing acro. Juniors (Ages 7-10) will have jazz and acro classes and then our Intermediates and Seniors (Ages 11-18) will have contemporary and acro each Thursday night. Space for these classes is limited so be sure to register soon!
And after a few weeks off, our Competitive Dance Team will be back in the dance studio ready to work! Our Competitive Dance Team will attend a series of workshop classes throughout the month of July to stay in shape over the summer holidays. During these classes dancers will work on strengthening their technique and learn new choreography.
