Welcome Back to Footprints Dance Centre for 2019!
We are so excited to be back at it. We hope that throughout the rest of the year you can trust Footprints Dance Centre to be a warm and safe place to inspire creativity, positive work ethic and self-expression. Each individual, whether student, family member or friend, is an important foundational member that will help to influence the structure of the studio for many years to come.
Monthly Intention – FRESH
This month’s monthly intention is FRESH. January is the perfect time to wipe the slate clean and give yourself a fresh start. At FDC we are excited to be starting 2019 with you! Throughout the month of January we will be putting together some FRESH events and ideas for our dance family. We are super excited to be putting on an event for our Intermediate and Senior dancers called Fresh Eats on Saturday Jan 19 from 5:30-8:30. Dancers 11+ are invited to join us for an evening of quick, easy and healthy snack creation at the studio! Stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram accounts for all things Fresh and Fun this month!
“I Dance Because” Photo Contest
Have you heard about our “I dance because” photo contest over the break? Well don’t worry! The contest runs until January 31! The winner of the raffle draw will some awesome FDC swag! To be entered dancers need to write the phrase “I dance because” on a piece of paper, give us their reason and snap a picture! Send your photos to the studio e-mail, or post the photos on Facebook and/or Instagram and tag us to be entered into this amazing raffle and posted on the studio social media pages!
Costumes
Students have been measured and costumes have been ordered! Please ensure that all costume fees and accounts are up to date. Check out our Costume Look Book mid-month for a sneak peek at your child’s costume for recital!
Cold Weather
The coldest winter months are here and so is flu season! Please be sure to communicate any absences to the studio via phone, e-mail or social media. Students are also now allowed to wear a form-fitting black, purple or blue activity jacket over their dress code items for the beginning of class due to our old drafty building.

Ditch the classic pony tail and bun and show your studio pride off with your craziest hair-dos!
Jan 19 – Fresh Eats
Our Intermediate and Senior students are invited for an evening of “Fresh Eats” at the studio. We will be learning to make some quick, easy and healthy snacks for our busy dancers! For dancers ages 11+. Please register at the desk for this free event so we can have an idea on groceries!
January 21-26: LAST Bring-a-Friend Day!
Share the joy of dancing with someone you care about on Bring-a-Friend Day. We encourage students to bring one friend of similar age to class. No previous dance experience required.
January 31: I Dance Because Photo Contest Ends!

That’s all for January! Once February is here we will begin work on our Recital Routines for our SEVENTH (can you believe it?!) Annual Recital!!!!!
