The holidays have arrived in Oxford County. Between warming up the kettle for our beloved Tea of the Day and making sure that our elf, Dash, hasn’t gotten into any trouble – it has been a very busy holiday season at Footprints Dance Centre. If you, like us, feel like you have been running around like a crazy person the past few weeks and maybe have not finished all of your holiday shopping just yet – don’t worry. We are right there with you and we want to help!
We have put together a quick little gift guide for that hard-to-shop-for dancer in your life. From stocking stuffers to under the tree surprises– we have got you covered! Hopefully this will make your holiday shopping a little less stressful!
Stocking Stuffers:
For the Teacup or Tulip Dancer:
A cute Dance Scrunchie or Bun Cover goes a long way in the eyes of your 3-6 year old. Something special to put in their hair to make them even more excited for dance class! We love Tiara + Tendu’s Crocheted Snood Ballet Bun Cover in pink to match their beautiful dress code for ballet class!
For the Junior Dancer:
Tights. Tights. Tights. We know that they are going to go through at least one pair between now and recital, and with the cold winter months its nice to have an extra pair just in case. You can always pick up a pair of tights from our FDC Boutique!
For the Intermediate or Senior Dancer:
Hair pin, bobby pins, elastics and hair nets. These older dancers never seem to remember where they last put any of their hair things for class. Make their life (and their teacher’s life) a little easier by providing them with the essentials for class. A quick trip to the dollar store tackles that dancer!
For the Adult Dancer:
Slip a 5 Class Pass to any of our Adult Dance Classes in their stocking! Our Adult classes always take off in the New Year with lots of new friends trying it out. Why not encourage your coworker, friend or mom into coming into class too!
Under the Tree:
For the Teacup or Tulip Dancer:
The Nutcracker is a timeless ballerina holiday tradition. Why not introduce your little one into Clara’s magical world through the National Ballet of Canada’s performance of The Nutcracker? If you don’t think your little one could last through a ballet performance, Canada’s very own prima ballerina, Karen Kain has written the National’s story of the Nutcracker in a picture book.
For the Junior Dancer:
Those 7-10 year old dancers seem to leave their dance stuff everywhere! Why not get your dancer excited to keep their things organized for dance with a beautiful new dance bag? In house, we have our awesome grey and purple dance messenger bags and stores like Toronto’s The Dancewear Centre offer a wide selection of bags with easy online ordering too! I personally love Sugar & Bruno’s new “My Teacher Says” Make-Up Bag.
For the Intermediate or Senior Dancer:
These dancers LOVE their Footprints Swag. Why not swing by the boutique and see what we have available for your dancer. From studio jackets to our super soft fashion tees. We have got something for every dancer!
For the Adult Dancer:
Its no secret that dancers do not have the nicest feet. Why not treat the mature dancer in your life to a special pedicure or spa day. Our staff had an amazing time being pampered at Woodstock’s very own Country Comfort Spa.
Happy holiday shopping Footprints Family!
