This year, Footprints Dance Centre’s recital theme was “Spread Your Wings”, inspired by the Little Mix song “Wings”. After the past few years of Covid making us feel like we were cooped up in cocoons, this year was truly a year to set big goals, and burst forth from that cocoon with huge potential and fabulous pizazz!
This year was also the first recital to feature an amazing opening number in all 3 of our shows, performed by FDC’s entire competitive team! It was almost impossible to believe that this 35-person showstopper was pulled together in only 3 rehearsals! Way to go team! Our families were so impressed! I think this may have to become a continuing FDC Recital tradition!
Wow. What a weekend for Footprints Dance Centre. Thank you to all of our amazing dancers and families for an incredible experience! It was so amazing to see our dancers back on stage this year. The studio is truly a success because of all of our wonderful dancers and families. We appreciate you all! Another big thank you goes out to all the incredible volunteers, teaching assistants, and staff formaking our shows run as smoothly as possible. You had that backstage room running like clockwork!
To our Graduating dancers – Abbi, Rachael, and Bailey – Thank you for making FDC a better place for everyone. Your commitment to not only your own dancing, but your class assisting, your positivity, and your general studio involvement has made you wonderful role models to our younger dancers. We wish you all the best in your adventures and can’t wait for you to visit next year.
And just like that, Footprints Dance Centre’s 11th season comes to a close! We are so grateful to every single member of our FDC Fam for making this past year such a blast! We wish our dancers and families a fun and restful summer and can’t wait to start back up again in the fall!
