Welcome (Back) to Footprints Dance Centre!

We are so excited to be in our 11th season and have each of you as a part of our new dance community. This year will certainly be an interesting one, but I am confident that you can count on FDC to be a safe and inspiring place for your dancer this season.

We hope that throughout the year you can discover Footprints Dance Centre to be a warm and safe place to inspire creativity, positive work ethic and self-expression.

Each individual, whether student, family member or friend, is an important foundational member that will help to influence the structure of the studio for many years to come.

Monthly Intention: Fantastic Friends

Each month of our dancing year will highlight one of those ‘life lessons’ that dance gives us through our monthly intentions. This month we are working on incorporating our top studio value – community. Since it is the first month of the dance season, we are excited to encourage our dancers (and parents) to make new friends within the studio community.

Inter/Senior Bracelet Making

Dancers ages 11+ are invited to hang out at the studio Saturday September 24 from 1:00-2:30pm to create some beautiful friendship bracelets! Bracelet making supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own too! Please RSVP by emailing the studio at [email protected].

Spirit-Wear Clothing Orders

We are so excited to launch our Fall Spirit-Wear Clothing Order! Attached you will find photos of the items available this season. All clothing orders can be made online this year. Head to https://schooltee.com/landing-page/footprints-dance-landing-page/ and create an account to get started!

Spirit-Wear Clothing Orders are due on Sunday October 2.

Dress Code

Please ensure that students are appropriately dressed for their classes with hair tied neatly off the face for all classes. We understand that items may be on order and will not penalize any student for improper dress code this month.

Please label all of your dancer’s belongings so that we can minimize the mix-ups! If you have any questions about the dress code please just ask. Thank you to all of the dancers who have been following our dress code so far!

Holiday Spirit Squad – Nutcracker

Registration for our Holiday Spirit Squad is open for dancers ages 5+. Spirit Squad is an optional, additional performance opportunity for dancers seeking a little more stage time. This year we will be portraying each dance as a scene of the classic production of “The Nutcracker” in a live theatre performance on Fri Nov 25 at the Movement Church in Woodstock. Registration is due Sept 30.
