Twinkling Tykes (15-24 Months)

Twinkling Tykes Dance Classes are specifically designed for caregivers and tykes aged 15-24 months to experience dance class together. Join us for a 6-week program, where you and your little dancer can bond through the joy of movement.

Now that your little one is creeping, crawling, walking and bouncing all around, its time to get exploring the great big world around them!

Our Twinkling Tykes class keeps busy little ones in mind with our movement and music-based, conceptual lessons. Each 6-week session will focus on a new movement and music concept relevant to the ongoing physical, emotional and mental growth of your little tyke.

In this class we focus on nurturing gross motor, cognitive and emotional-social development through our play-based curriculum. Using exploratory activities, songs and rhymes, circle dances and sensory exploration, your little tyke will stay busy during our fun and exciting dance classes.

Caregivers will have the opportunity to meet and bond with other caregivers with similar-aged children in this class.

The 6-week session is $60.00 (HST incl).

We recommend comfortable clothing like a t-shirt and sweatpants/leggings for all of our dancers. Tots may wear leotards and skirts if they like! Bare feet help our dancers to grip the floor and develop strong foot muscles.

If this is your tyke’s first class experience it may take them a class or two to adjust. This is perfectly normal! Just by being in the class setting your tyke is learning a lot about music, movement and how to share space with other tykes. It is likely that you will see them start singing and dancing at home before they strike a move in the studio!

That’s alright! The important part is to participate, have fun and embrace the moment. Tots learn a lot through imitation and if they see that you are having fun, they will want to too!

Unfortunately at this time we will not permit any additional audience members into class due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Yes! We ask that all caregivers are respectful of other grown-ups and tykes and try to capture just their own special tyke in class.
