April is an exciting time at the studio! Our recital students are finishing up their recital choreography, our exam dancers are putting the finishing touches on their syllabus work and our competitive dancers are hitting the stage. As we move through this busy time at the studio we are so thankful to be sharing the experience with our incredible Footprints Family.
As we get closer to showtime, it is so important for our dancers to be in class. Please continue to alert us through your parent portal of any absences.
We can’t wait to get these dancers on the stage soon!
Monthly Intention – Bring the Heat
Each month of our dancing year will highlight one of those ‘life lessons’ that dance gives us through our monthly intentions. Our monthly intention for April is BRING THE HEAT! As we approach recital season, we plan to give our dancers extra motivation and determination to reach their dance goals this season. The hard work has to happen in the studio now, for our dancers to shine on stage in June!
Summer Camp Registration
Camp registration is now available in your parent portal. Click Register for Class then open up the Summer Camp tab. Your registration payment is just a 10% deposit! The remainder of your fee will be due July 1, 2024.
Competition Info Meeting – April 20
If your dancer is interested in exploring the thrilling world of Competitive Dance we invite you to attend a short information meeting on Saturday April 20 at 3:15pm at the studio. In this meeting we will discuss the financial and time requirements for the Competitive Team.
Junior/Inter Movie Night – April 12
Dancers aged 9-13 are invited to the studio on Friday April 12 from 5:00-7:00pm to hangout with their dance friends and watch Mamma Mia together! Please RSVP to Miss Taylor at the desk or by email ([email protected]).
Recital 2024
COSTUMES: Our Costume Look Book is now available to see all the wonderful costumes that will be a part of this year’s show! Students will be trying on costumes as they arrive throughout the next few months. Your weekly email update will let you know what classes will be trying on costumes.
RECITAL & REHEARSAL DATES: This year our 12th Annual Recitals and Rehearsals will take place throughout the week of June 3-8 at the Movement Church in Woodstock. We are planning to have FIVE indvidiual shows. All info can be found in your colour-coded Recital Information Package.
MUSIC: You can now access your child’s recital music through your parent portal. Login to your parent portal – Click “Shared Files” – Click on the “Class Music” Tab. Voila! There it is! PRACTICE VIDEOS will be coming soon!
