What better way to kick off the start of a new dance season, than with an FDC Spirit Week?!
Footprints Dance Centre’s Spirit Weeks are fun dress up weeks where dancers are encouraged to come to class sporting clothing and colours that represent their FDC pride. Dancers dressed in their favourite Footprints t-shirts / sweatshirts, or danced in their purple and blue clothing with style!
In the spirit of making dance accessible to all families, this year, we decided to tie in Spirit Week with a small fundraiser for Jumpstart. Jumpstart is an organization that provides families with financial assistance in order for their children to participate in local extracurricular activities. We asked all dancers participating in Spirit Week to “ditch their dress code in exchange for a toonie”. These small donations quickly added up and we were able to provide Jumpstart with a total donation of $225.00. We hope this donation can help to provide a local family with a wonderful extracurricular opportunity.
